Transnational Public Policy Advisors, LLC (TPPA) provides intensive leadership training and consultation to political and governmental leaders in developing countries instituting democratic reform. While there is no question that general elections are important vehicles to initiate and sustain substantive reform, any lasting change in governmental restructuring requires that leaders possess the skills and capacity to transcend former government practices and find suitable outlets for resolving serious conflicts and moving their countries toward an open framework of governance.
TPPA trains political leaders and public officials in the skills they need to more effectively engage in multi-faceted public policy-making. Programs range from leadership training to political party development, with comprehensive courses on how to effectively deal with public bureaucracies, legislative bodies, executive divisions, the media and the public. This training enables new leadership to create a “vision” of a reform-based society and work with other competing elements to forge broad-based support for corresponding policy initiatives. Thus, TPPA guides a process whereby leaders can develop and sustain reform-based programs that are compatible with their country’s history and culture, and conducive to resolving complex policy questions and, ultimately, to creating a responsive and open government.
